Jaime L. Stewart

Jaime L. Stewart is a Colorado native who brings deep local roots. Born and raised in the San Luis Valley, Jaime has a strong appreciation for Colorado communities and the people who live and work in them. She joined Gubbels Law Office in 2004 and now continues her work through McDonough Law Group, where she assists individuals and families with estate planning, probate, and real estate matters.

Before beginning her legal career, Jaime worked as a title examiner and licensed producer for a title insurance company in Boulder, Colorado. That early experience gave her a strong foundation in title work and real estate transactions, which continues to benefit her clients today. Her background in examining titles, preparing title commitments, and issuing title insurance policies provides her with a detailed understanding of deeds, contracts, deeds of trust, and the complexities of real estate ownership.

Jaime’s legal practice includes estate planning, probate administration, trust administration, and protective proceedings. She works closely with clients to develop thoughtful estate plans that reflect their personal goals and protect their families. Her work includes preparing wills, revocable living trusts, testamentary trusts, powers of attorney, and living wills. She also assists families through the probate process and helps clients obtain court appointment of a guardian and/or conservator when loved ones need additional protection or support.

Jaime earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver College of Law in 2002 after receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree from Adams State College in 1998. She is admitted to practice before the Colorado Supreme Court and is an active member of the Colorado Bar Association and the Douglas/Elbert Bar Association. She is also a Colorado licensed title insurance producer and agent.

Outside of the office, Jaime appreciates spending time in the Rocky Mountains and has climbed 40 of the Colorado Fourteeners.  She also enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, scrapbooking, cross stitching, and spending time with family and friends.
